Introducing Secret Cameras

October 2016 saw the release of Secret Cameras debut single ‘Going Places’ and since then they have been causing a stir with their infectious indie sound. This came highly recommended and after giving it a listen I can understand the attention that they are receiving. This and their other songs have been gaining great reviews as well as airplay on many high profile UK radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 and Radio X (formally XFM).

So, who are Secret Cameras? They are Itamar (vocals, guitars, synths), Kristian (guitars, synths, backing vocals), Sam (bass) and Dimitris (drums). Together they have used their individual experience from previous bands and used it to create the killer sound that we hear today.

The guys have released their self titled debut EP, which has a sound that’s a little different to my usual tastes, but it hasn’t stopped me becoming a big fan of what they have created. The EP offers a blend of 80’s vibe, with its use of synths, with modern day indie rock. This combination can be heard the track ‘Going Places’ which also features some catchy hooks.

Talking about the bands ways with words, they are as infectious as their music. They really know how to get you singing along before you know it which my favourite song ‘It Doesn’t Matter’ demonstrates. The way they blend the chorus with their catchy beats and synths will win over any new listener as its that good. Obviously, this would mean nothing without the right delivery and Itamar does that perfectly. He showcases a good range and control, but it is the way he delivers the right tone to the tempo of each song that stands out for me.

Secret Cameras self titled EP is filled with so many gems and you need to give it a listen. You can do so from their Soundcloud page (click HERE). If you like what you hear then grab a copy from the usual online stores of Amazon and Itunes.

I am looking forward to listening to how the sound from Secret Cameras develops as time goes on. Will it still grab my attention? Who knows but I have a feeling it will and I can’t wait to find out. As I am already following them on their social media sites of Facebook and Twitter then I will find out about any future release as well as upcoming shows and more.
